Is Professor of Ancient Archaeology and Art History of the Mediterranean Basin. Chief Curator of the Musée Archéologique de l’Université de Lorraine (MAUL). Director of the Pôle Archéologique Universitaire (PAU). 19 years of experience as university teacher in History, Archaeology, Ancient Art History, in collaboration with Italian, American and French Universities. 16 years of experience in the field of cultural communication to specialized and general public, as Archaeological Guide and Tour Leader for Italian Tour Operators in Syria, Lybia, Israel, as Licensed Tour Guide of Rome and County in English and French (Tours and Cultural Projects with Italian and American Tour Operators, Foreigner Embassies, American Universities, Nato Defense College of Rome), as well as curator of the archaeological section of the exhibition La Lupa e la Sfinge, Roma, Castel S.Angelo, Luglio-Novembre 2008. Experience as Lecturer for American Cultural Tourism associations (AHI TRAVEL; Roadscholar Program- Trinity College in Rome. Experience in the creation of archaeological publications for general public. Author of several translation of archaeological papers for Exhibitions Catalogues, etc. 

Giulia Baratta

Giulia Baratta

 

Giulia Baratta is a Professor of Classical Archaeology at the University of Macerata. She studied at the University of “La Sapienza” and obtained her doctorate at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University of Frankfurt/M. She has authored approximately three hundred publications, including eight monographs. She serves as the editor of four academic series and is a member of numerous editorial boards for specialized journals. Her research primarily focuses on the archaeological and historical aspects of the ancient world and the provinces of the Roman Empire, with particular attention to religion, economy, topography, sculpture, material culture, the so-called instrumentum, and epigraphy. She has directed an excavation in Spain on the Island of Menorca, collaborates on archaeological investigations at the site of Ruscino (Perpignan) in France, and leads the archaeological excavation at the Civita di Tarquinia. She is also a corresponding member of the Deutsches Archäologisches Institut.

Alessandra Fermani

Has an MA and a Ph.D degree in Social Psychology from the UNIMC. In 2021 she was appointed Full Professor of Social Psychology at the Department of Education, Cultural Heritage and Tourism. Her research interests focus on Identity achievement, gender differences, family relationships, education and socialisation, migration and intergenerational relations. She works on various international research projects (include EU and Erasmus plus projects as Principal investigator) regarding identity formation in adolescence and emerging adulthood, tourism values, enhancing career management skills through the development of personal brand. She is Director of the Teaching Council of the PhD course in “Psychology, communication and social sciences” at the UNIMC.  

Roberto Pesaresi

Roberto Pesaresi

 

Holds a Ph.D in Roman and ancient near East Law and is applied as lecturer and academic researcher at the Department of Law of the UNIMC. His scholarly research focuses on the constitutional history of the republican period, and, in this context, mainly on the historical dynamics of the criminal trial. Within the framework of this field of interest, he is currently studying epigraphical texts concerning Julius Caesar. Another area of interest concerns the law of contracts to which he dedicated several studies and articles. He is a member of the Italian society of law history.

M. Carmen Juan

Holds a position of Full Professor of Computer Science with the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), Spain, where she has taught since 1996. In 2000, she received her Ph.D. degree from the UPV. Her main research interests include computer graphics, extended reality, advanced user interfaces and their applications to learning, medicine and psychology. Until 2024, she has published more than 200 articles in total, of which more than 50 are considered high impact contributions in prestigious research journals. She has been principal investigator in 18 projects and has participated in more than 70. She has supervised 8 doctoral theses and more than 100 Final Degree Works.

PhD, DSc, Ordinary member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Professor at the Department of Classical and Roman Provincial Archaeology of the Institute of Archaeological Sciences (Faculty of Humanities, Eötvös Loránd University). Director of the archaeological excavations int he Roman municipality of Brigetio (actual Komárom, Hungary) since 1992, head of the Research Group “Interdisciplinary Archaeology”, financed by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (since 2020 by the Eötvös Loránd Research Network) since 2012. Since 2017 rector of the Eötvös Loránd University.

 

Melinda Szabó

Research Fellow in the Department of Greek and Roman Archaeology at Eötvös Loránd University. Her main research interests are epigraphy, Roman social history, the history of trade and commerce, and Roman provincial archaeology. She is a member of the HUN-REN-ELTE Research Group for Interdisciplinary Archaeology and participates in the excavations and scientific work at the legionary fortress of Brigetio (present-day Komárom, HU). She holds a postdoctoral grant at Eötvös Loránd University for the project titled “Women on the Frontier: The Social Relations of Roman Pannonia”.

Is co-lead researcher at Universitat Jaume I. He is lecturer in Educational Technology. Rector’s delegate for teaching transformation and communication at UJI. Member of the Scientific Advisory Board (2020) of the Open Research Europe of the European Commission. Lecturer in the Department of Pedagogy and Didactics of Social Sciences, Language and Literature at UJI, he teaches in the Primary Education degree. Ph.D. in Educational Technology, he leads the GREAT Research Group (Teaching, Learning & Technology). He develops his research on digital competences, teacher training and Design-Based Research (DBR).

Is a senior lecturer in the Department of English Studies at Universitat Jaume I, where she lectures English Studies degree students as well as in the degrees of Medicine, Nursing and Tourism. She is currently the Director of the Interuniversity Institute of Modern Applied Languages at UJI. She was a Morley Scholar in the English Language Institute at the University of Michigan (USA) in 2007, where she worked together with the MICASE team. She has been a visiting researcher in Universities such as Midsweden University (Sweden), or the University of Edinburgh (UK).

She carries out her research activity in the Teaching, Learning and Technology Group (GREAT) and her main interests are related to educational technology, digital competence and design-based methodology. Previously, she has worked as a teacher at the University Isabel I and as a research fellow at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili.

Director of the Mediterranean Archaeology Partnership Programme, and director of the research group ANTIQUA. Ancient History and Archaeology, he carries out his research in the field of archaeology. He is a member of several research groups: Girha (Innovation Group of Resources in Ancient History) of the University of Valencia, and educational research groups: CLHIO How to apply the English language in classical history and its educational object.
